TWBC fished it's September tournament for 2020 on legendary Lake Sam Rayburn. This was a 2 day Tournament we launched from Castle-Boykin Ramp. This lake is known for BIG bass and lots of them, I have fished this lake for many years and I will tell you this was the toughest tournament I personally have ever fished. To say fishing was TOUGH is a MAJOR understatement. It was a beautiful weekend to fish and we were blessed with mild temperatures and lots of sunshine. The winds even were nice, giving a cooling breeze from time to time. I can only tell you the weather was nice and the fish were non existent! We had 10 yes I said 10 scorable bass brought to the scale this weekend. Yes both days! There were reports of some schooling bass that were all of 10-12 inches in length that were caught and released back to the water. No 5 fish limit were brought in on either day. However we did get 1 nice fish brought in by Brian that takes over the lead for Big Bass of the Year. Brian caught a 7.30 lb. beast this weekend and won the tournament with this fish! Nice play Brian! We had a good turn out with 10 members and 1 guest. With 11 fishermen as a group we caught 10 scorable bass for 37.28 lbs. There is always next month! Over all we had fun and we all caught some fish. We always have a good time at The Woodlands Bass Club. You should be here Next Month!
Always a great time when we get together!
